London Fields Brewery

London Fields Brewery nestles under the railway arches in between the park and Mare Street in east London. They opened in August 2011, serving 4 beers and a lager, straight from the keg, brewed on the premises. This year they’ve grown immensely and open every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer months. So from 12pm-12am every weekend you can swig some locally crafted beer, while listening to live music, and fill up on delicious pulled pork rolls courtesy of The Dead Dolls Club (of pop-up restaurant Stew House fame). I’ve already been 3 times and loved every visit.

Black Path Porter

The staff are wonderfully friendly and are happy to chat you through the tipples they offer. Home-grown, regular fixtures include Hackney Hopstar, Love Not War and a pale ale and there’s often experiments to try – all for £3.50 or less. We had a Black Path Porter with notes of coffee and chocolate and an elderflower beer. But don’t worry if you don’t like fizzy brown stuff – they also serve Pimms, wine, Prosecco and spirits. Oh and artisan gelateria Tomscoopery are on-hand for a sugar hit to help you keep boozing all day long. Definitely one of my favourite spots in London.
